The Moconá Falls (Saltos de Moconá) are formed by a geological fault approximately 3 kilometers long that cuts the terrain transversely, right in the middle of the Uruguay River, which makes them unique.
This set of falls is one of Argentina’s hidden natural treasures that deserve to be experienced. Especially if you visit the Iguazu Falls, which are only 4 hours away.
It is an activity to meet nature in a different way. You will go through one of the most beautiful routes of the area to enjoy every moment of the tour, from beginning to end.

Itinerary
The tour starts early, between 6 or 7 a.m., depending on the agency providing the service. The group transfer usually picks you up from your hotel or any other meeting point.
It is important to point out that the tour can be taken either from the city of Posadas or from Puerto Iguazú. Therefore, the route will depend on the starting point, traveling through different routes and landscapes. Also, depending on the excursion you choose, you can visit other waterfalls to get a complete picture of the beautiful jungle of Misiones and its attractions.
This is the case of the tour that starts in the city of Posadas and includes a visit to Salto Encantado. The road begins on Route 12 and then takes Route 7, which between hills and jungle, leaves us the best viewpoints and landscapes for excellent photos.
The Moconá Provincial Park, which houses the falls, is an extensive Atlantic forest that is divided between the countries of Argentina and Brazil. Being a protected area, you can walk along the marked trails, where the guide will provide information about the area visited, as well as visit the interpretation center.
After the first encounter with the place, you will take 1.30 or 2 hours for lunch at the reserve’s restaurant, before the great experience that awaits you on the boat ride. The boat ride is subject to the weather and the state of the river. The tour lasts approximately 20 minutes in which you will try to navigate very close to the falls to feel their strength and majesty.
The tours are full day and we return late back to the hotel, approximately between 19 or 22 hours. Tired, but satisfied with a complete and unforgettable experience.
