First union between foreigners celebrated at Iguazu Falls

On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the first union of a couple of non-resident tourists was celebrated.

This event has been made possible following amendments to the provincial law, which adheres to the national law 25.781 and in line with the proposals presented at the International Tourism Fair in October 2023, for the first time in the Misiones province, a wedding for non-resident tourists was held.

The couple was made up of two young men, Benjamin from Canada, and Manuel from Venezuela, who chose the Two Sisters Falls as the location for their ceremony.

For those who wish to fulfill their dreams just like this couple – to get married in one of the Wonders of the Natural World – they should request an appointment through the email address deptodespachorpp@gmail.com. Once the slot has been secured, the only remaining task is to choose the natural setting where the union will take place. You can choose between:

  • Iguazu Falls: The Devil’s Throat Balcony (closed), the viewpoint of The Two Sisters falls, or The Ampitheatre.
  • Salto Encantado: the balcony facing the main fall and the green spaces.
  • Saltos del Moconá: on the navigation boats.
