El Calafate: Increase and Changes in Taxi Fare Adjustment

During the last week of 2023, the ARTCA (Association of Remises and Taxis of El Calafate) together with Mayor Javier Belloli established an agreement to raise the flag drop rate of taxi service.

After the meeting, both parties agreed to set the fare for the bajada de bandera (the value when boarding the cab) at $800 while the token every 100 meters will now cost $80.

Likewise, in addition to the increase in transport service, a modification was established to adjust prices later, which is to link them to the increase in fuel, offering remise services the ability to quickly adapt to new operational costs.
