Bus Fare Increases in Puerto Iguazu

This Monday, January 8, the new bus fare prices came into effect in the city of Puerto Iguazu.

This is the second hike in the price for service provided by the Rio Uruguay company in 2024. The increase corresponds to a 27% upsurge in the cost of fuel, along with the withdrawal of subsidies for public passenger transport services.

As a result, the new fare chart (in argentinean pesos) for the city of Puerto Iguazú is as follows:

  • With SUBE card: $400
  • Without SUBE card: $450
  • To and from Iguazu Falls and Airport (tourists): $3900
  • To and from Iguazu Falls and Airport (workers and residents): $800

Moreover, the manager of the Rio Uruguay company, Christian Leal, says that they are working to incorporate the Iguazu Falls and Airport services into the SUBE Network. This integration will simplify visits for tourists and reduce the need for cash transactions.
