How To Visit

To visit the Iriapu Indigenous Community, you can go on your own or hire a tour from Puerto Iguazu. If you’re going on your own, you can get there by taxi, private vehicle, or on foot.


The community is located about 20 minutes from the city center, in the Iriapu jungle. Its entrance is on El Dorado street, about 550 meters from Route 12.


The opening hours are from Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.



Upon arriving at the community, you’ll be greeted by a local guide who will explain the history, culture, and customs of the Guarani people. You’ll be able to tour the place and see the houses, plantations, school, and health center, and you can participate in some typical activities, like archery, pottery, or weaving.
