Kayaking and Canoeing on the Iguazú River in Foz do Iguaçu

At your chosen time (9:00 a.m. or 3:00 p.m.), you’ll either be picked up from your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu or meet at the designated meeting point on Alameda de Caeté street.

From there, you’ll begin a 1.4-kilometer hike along the Trilha Ecológica do Índio trail, which will lead you to the Canoeing Base on the banks of the Iguazú River.

During the hike, the guide will share fascinating information about the Atlantic Forest, its biome, anthropology, and culture. You’ll likely get the chance to spot animals like parrots, armadillos, and even some monkeys.

At the end of the walk, you’ll reach the banks of the Iguazú River, where a one-hour kayaking or paddleboarding adventure, depending on your choice, awaits you.

Once everything is set and the safety guidelines are explained, you’ll begin your journey toward the Tamanduá River from the Aguaray base.

In this initial stage, the activity will be smooth and relaxing, as you’ll be paddling with the current.

You’ll have the chance to explore within a 2-kilometer radius, marveling at the surrounding vegetation and the soothing sounds of nature.

At the end of this segment, you’ll disembark at another beach and take a short walk to the Cachoeira da Toca, where you can enjoy the stunning scenery and take a refreshing dip in the waterfalls.

On your way back, whether in kayaks or paddleboards, you’ll get to admire the breathtaking Juruvá Waterfall. During this stretch, you might need to paddle against the current, so it’s best to save some energy for this final effort.

The activity also includes a delicious picnic-style lunch at the end of your kayaking or paddleboarding journey.
