Visiting Hours Extended for the Perito Moreno Glacier

With the arrival of September and the start of the high tourist season, visiting hours for many attractions across the country are changing.

In response, the administration of Los Glaciares National Park announced on its social media the new access hours for the Perito Moreno Glacier via the Río Mitre-Glaciar Moreno corridor. The updated visiting hours will be from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and visitors can stay in the walkway area until 8:00 PM.

Additionally, the entry requirements for vehicles heading to the glacier have also been updated. It is no longer mandatory for private cars or tourist transport to have studded tires or approved chains (with links) to access the protected area. However, these safety measures will still depend on weather conditions, so it is always recommended to keep them in the trunk.
