The official calendar has been established to participate in the nighttime visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
After months of testing and management by public organizations and private associations, the first dates for nighttime excursions to the walkways to admire the Perito Moreno Glacier have been announced.
Through the official Instagram profile, the Argentine Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies shared the list of available dates to admire the Perito Moreno with the silver light from October 2026 to April 2027.
This new initiative seeks to expand the options for tourists to discover the destination, especially during the final stretch, when the moon is closest to our planet.
“Moreno under the Moonlight”, in addition to showing the world the beauty of the glacier during the night, offers one of the best views of the celestial body, since during the month of November 2026 the “Beaver Supermoon” takes place, a phenomenon where our satellite is closest to the planet, so it will appear 6.5% larger and 13% brighter.
Since its announcement in October 2025, the different tourism organizations of El Calafate worked together to recover this experience at the glacier after 15 years of suspension.
