The brand-new air route will start operating in the second half of December 2024.
Last August 2024, the Chilean airline Sky announced on its official social media accounts the creation of a new air route connecting Santiago de Chile and El Calafate. Just three weeks later, the official presentation of this connection between the Chilean capital and the Patagonian city took place.

The flights linking El Calafate with Santiago de Chile will take around three hours and will operate from December 18, 2024, to March 16, 2025. Airline tickets are already available for purchase on the foreign airline’s website.
