Over the course of these three days, various locations around the city will screen a selection of films and short films from the 2024 edition held in Buenos Aires. The event will also feature talks, Q&A sessions about the films shown, and to wrap up the festival, a special appearance by director and screenwriter Nicolás Onetti. He will lead the closing event by sharing the creative process and experience behind his latest work, which will also be screened during the festival: *1978*.
Onetti’s film tells the story of a group of young people who are kidnapped after watching the 1978 World Cup final. What starts out as yet another interrogation followed by torture turns into a nightmare for the military, as they are punished by their young captives.
All festival activities are free to attend until venue capacity is reached. Tickets can be picked up up to one hour before each event.
