After hosting two major competitions, the province of Río Negro will once again take center stage for a thrilling cycling event: the Ruta 23 Challenge.
As November comes to a close with the 35th edition of the “1000 Millas Sport Argentina” in its rearview mirror, December brings a new opportunity to experience an exciting race in one of the most stunning natural settings in our country: the Ruta 23 Challenge.

The event will take place from December 4 to 7, 2024, and will feature two cycling disciplines: MTB (mountain biking) and road cycling. The road cycling category will cover a shorter distance since a portion of the route is still awaiting pavement work.
From mountain ranges dotted with lakes to wooded areas and the ocean, the Ruta Nacional 26 “Perito Moreno” stretches over 600 kilometers. Cyclists will traverse Río Negro from west to east, starting in the iconic city of San Carlos de Bariloche and finishing at the seaside town of Las Grutas.
Without a doubt, southern Argentina has become the ultimate venue for competitive events. We can only wait to see which race will next choose Patagonia as the stage for another remarkable sports event.
