The arrival of the most wonderful time of the year will be celebrated at the city’s most iconic spot.
This Sunday, December 8th, the city of Bariloche will host a very special event: the traditional lighting of the Christmas tree in the Centro Cívico of Bariloche.
This much-anticipated occasion, which gathers both locals and tourists every year, will feature a live performance by the Rio Negro Philharmonic Orchestra.
At around 8:00 PM, the talented musicians will set the mood for this magical moment, marking the official start of the festive season in the city. For the evening’s concert, the orchestra has prepared a delightful repertoire, including well-loved pieces such as:
- “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder
- “Hymne à l’amour” by Edith Piaf
- Silent Night (Noche de Paz)
In addition to the live music and the illumination of the Christmas tree, the celebration will also have a special guest: Santa Claus himself! His arrival at the Plaza Expedicionarios del Desierto will signal the perfect time to light up the beautifully decorated tree.
Meanwhile, the main streets of San Carlos de Bariloche will be filled with festive cheer, showcasing holiday-themed decorations. There will also be a charming Christmas Village, which includes the must-visit “Santa’s House,” a favorite spot for children.
