Mar del Plata Gets Ready for the First Ever “CaFest”

Everything’s set for a perfect Saturday filled with delicious coffee, relaxing music to dance to, artistic experiences, and a Montessori-inspired playground at Villa Victoria.

On Saturday, May 31, the beachside city of Mar del Plata will host a new event celebrating one of the most beloved drinks in the world: coffee!

This marks the launch of CaFest, a new addition to the city’s cultural and culinary calendar that hopes to become a local favorite.

With free admission, the event will take place at the beautiful Victoria Ocampo Cultural Center from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Throughout the day, top coffee shops from the city and surrounding areas will showcase their products, explain how coffee is made, and even do live demos so you can learn to prepare the perfect cup at home.

Mar del Plata Gets Ready for the First Ever “CaFest”

This first edition will feature both industrial and specialty coffee brands. Mar del Plata staples like Havanna and La Fonte D’Oro will be joined by newer cafés such as “Niño Lobo” and “Yo Barista.” There will be more than 15 stalls offering different ways to enjoy a great cup of coffee.

But there’s more than coffee! The festival will also include live DJs, a children’s play area, a literary space, a market for local entrepreneurs with coffee-inspired goods, and artistic performances.
