The City of Buenos Aires kicks off its October calendar with a unique event celebrating one of the most beloved authors in Argentine culture.
On Sunday, October 5, the Usina del Arte will host the very first symphonic concert dedicated to the works of María Elena Walsh. This special performance will be free of charge, but advance registration is required. Tickets can be reserved starting September 29 through the cultural center’s website.

Titled “María Elena Walsh Sinfónico,” the concert will feature orchestral renditions of some of her most iconic songs, including “Manuelita,” “La cigarra,” “Canción para bañar la luna,” “Barco quieto,” and “El Reino del Revés.”
The performance will be led by the Aeropuertos Argentina Symphony Orchestra, joined by singer Katie Viqueira and her trio. The ensemble will perform under the direction of maestro Néstor Tedesco.
