This weekend, the event that celebrates one of the most iconic sweets of our country returns.
From August 15 to 17 in the Palermo neighborhood, at the Centro Costa Salguero, one of the most anticipated competitions for entrepreneurs and sweet lovers will take place: the Alfajor World Championship. Those who wish to attend the event can still get tickets on Eventbrite for $5000, with free entry for children under 13.
This time, both visitors and pastry chefs will enjoy different experiences. On one hand, the general public will not only taste and buy different kinds of alfajores competing to be crowned the best, but also enjoy various shows and appearances by renowned pastry figures on the main stage.

On the other hand, those who work in or want to start in the alfajor business can attend the “International Alfajor Forum” where there will be technical talks on topics such as finances, distribution, production, and even the use of AI in the industry. Pre-registration is required to attend.
In addition to various local producers, the event will also feature several special guest countries, each with its own space to showcase traditional products. This edition will include participants from Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru, the United States, and Spain.
