About Tintas de la U
The event’s name recalls the first precedent of a public celebration dedicated to promoting books in Mendoza, held in 1926 at Colegio Misericordia on the initiative of Leonardo Napolitano, then director of its library. A hundred years after that milestone, Tintas de la U aims to celebrate and renew it from within the university, and the program includes a panel specifically dedicated to his legacy and to that of researcher Manuela Mur, a key figure of the first Mendoza Book Fairs.
The event is organized by the Secretariat of University Extension of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters together with several UNCUYO areas and publishers: EDIUNC (Publishing House of the National University of Cuyo), EdiFyL (Publishing House of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters), ARCA (Area of Scientific and Academic Journals), the SID (Integrated Documentation System), and the Library of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, responsible for the institutional development of the project.
